Take Action Now!

The Friends of Friendship Park coalition is in negotiations with San Diego Border Patrol about the design of Friendship Park. And YOU CAN HELP!

  • 1. Join in for the event on 40th anniversary of Friendship Park event and/or other events at the park (Visit our Calendar here).
  • 2. Visit the park on your own. Borderfield State Park is open to foot traffic 7 days/week during daylight hours. It's a beautiful 1.2 mile walk through the estuary reserve and along a beach to the park. The bi-national friendship area is up on a mesa overlooking the ocean. Access to the bi-national friendship circle is allowed between 10a-2p on Sat and Sun. This is the best time to go in order to be able to approach people on the other side. Don't forget to bring a government ID, does not have to be passport.
  • 3. Be a bi-national gardener of native plants and volunteer in the friendship garden! The garden is located inside of Friendship Park. We have outings around once a month where we weed, expand, and decorate. Contact Daniel Virden for more details.
  • 4. Sign the petition to Endorse the New Design: Sign here, now!
  • 5. Donate online to help save Friendship Park.
