Friendship Park is an historic venue overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the U.S.-Mexico border. For generations people have gathered at the park to visit with friends and family through the border fence.  In January, 2009 U.S. Customs and Border Patrol began demolishing Friendship Park and announced their intent to eliminate permanently all public access.

Our Position

We call for a public review of proposed plans for Friendship Park, to ensure the restoration of routine public access to the park.

We support a moratorium on border wall construction along the length of the U.S.-Mexico border.
